For above-grade applications, it is best to protect Halo Exterra foam board insulation from termites and ants by using bug screens. For Below grade applications, Halo Subterra foam board can be purchased from participating plants with a termite-resistant additive.

Subterra is the Halo foam board insulation specifically designed for below grade applications. When offered with a factory-added imidacloprid coating to the graphite polystyrene (GPS) beads that form it’s foam core, Subterra is more resistant to termite infestation. This treatment is not offered by all Halo plants, please contact your local Halo manufacturer for availability.
